The Receiver That Thought It CouldNov 18, 2010

This unit has a lot of things it can do , you might ask does this unit do them well . I have always found out especially in some cheaper radios that they make allowances in manufacturing them . Here are some differences I have noticed !
S.W Bands
3.5mhz to 4.5mhz 75 meter band } There is not much to listen to here .
4.5mhz to 5.6mhz 60 meter band
5.6mhz to 6.7mhz 49 meter band
7.4mhz to 8.9mhz meter band not known } Not world band segment
10.2mhz to 11.5mhz meter band not known} Not world band segment
12.1mhz to 13.6mhz meter band not known} Not world band segment
13.7mhz to 14.5mhz meter band not known} Not world band segment
15.0mhz to 17.0mhz 19 meter band
20.8mhz to 22.9mhz 13 meter band } There is not much to listen to here .
A.M F.M Radio
These international world meter bands are all off frequency so you might get a O.K radio . When you get this in your hands what can you really receive other then A.M and F.M Radio stations ? The other functions work as advertised !
I have also bought a amount of the Quantum FX model J-112 Radios which I also reviewed , the J-112 radio I like a lot . The frequency is off quite a bit , but this is a continuous frequency not separate ones like the Quantum J-101U radio . So I am giving the reader an idea about this radio J-101U ! I gave this radio 2 stars because of all it does in this one package !
