I brought this on my self. I knew I shouldn't have bought this juicer, but the price was good and I was curious about how it would work (since no one on any of the sites I went on rated this), plus I am a first time juicer. Well, the first time I used it, the "juice" was a little thick, so of course I thought I did something wrong (maybe I should've added the orange last?). I juiced again tonight, and as the apple was coming out, there was no juice, but a thick white goop, the carrots came out okay. Again, the end product was a thick drink. Not impressed. The chute size is so-so, and it sounds like a hand vac. I didn't think there'd be that much negative things to say about this machine, but low and behold!

Why are there any stars at all?? Reasons: it introduced me to juicing (gotta start somewhere, might as well be the bottom goin' up!), it wasn't that hard to wash, and the machine was not stained after putting carrots through.

p.s. I'm keeping it b/c I despise having to wait in line to return anything, and this time of year is havoc (a week b/4 Xmas!)!

2Put Your Money Towards Something BetterJan 14, 2007

Although I didn't buy this from Amazon - a friend gave it to me when she got a better juicer - I've used enough to let everyone know that this isn't a great choice. It juices quickly and is fairly easy to clean, but it doesn't extract as much juice as it should. The pulp is quit wet and I do run it through the feeder to squeeze a little more out. It you want to see if juicing is for you though and don't want to spend alot of $$$, this may be worth a try. But I guarantee that if you are serious about juicing, you'll be moving onto a better juicer!

3Beginners juicerJan 31, 2012

I bought this at Kmart to see if I liked juicing and how much effort it would be. Be aware, since this is so cheap it IS a beginners juicer. If you want a super high quality juicer you have to pay a lot more for that so don't be surprised when you have wet pulp and have to cut your carrots in half.

That being said I think it does a fine job for the price. You get juice and you get to determine which flavors work for you. It's a great introduction to the process of eating raw foods. It isn't hard to clean at all and it comes with it's own brush to scrub everything down so it gets nice and clean. It also includes a cup which some juicers in this price range do not.

Some things to note:
1. The chute is small. Like I have to cut carrots in half sometimes small. If you are very busy or at least think you are then pay more for a bigger juicer. I don't mind taking a few extra seconds to chop things up but I'm not the impatient one in the family.
2. It doesn't seem to do a good job extracting juice from leaves. Think basil, parsley, things like that. In the instructions it does say to roll them into a ball to get more juice which does seem to work but once again is time consuming.
3. It can't juice a whole days worth in a few minutes. Since the chute is so small and it isn't the best at extracting juice AND the cup size (both for juice and remains) are small you can't juice your days worth to leave it in the fridge to sip on. If you're one of the people who want to do a juice only or juice detox diet then this isn't the juicer for you.

This is a great little juicer for someone who wants to try out different vegetables and nutrients in their diet without having to cook and prepare meals because they are either lazy or like to burn things. If you WANT to add the benefits of ginger, lemon, spinach and basil into your diet but can't figure out a good way to do so, juicing is it. If you will only use it once to twice a day then this is the juicer for you. It takes maybe 5-10 minutes to clean and then is ready for reuse. If you like to juice 5 times a day then you might consider something with a better motor.
