 Great Stereo at a low priceSep 09, 2010
I've had this stereo for 2 years and it is excellent. It still works the same as it did the day i bought it. If you are gonna buy a stereo i really recommend buying this one, it is amazing.

I got this for my nine year old grandson and his parents were blown away! They were not expecting their son's boom-box to sound as good as this one did. Suggestion: You can get away with a much less expensive boombox for a nine-year old. He loves this particular boombox, but is too young to differentiate the sound when there is nothing to compare it to. If this is going to someone older, go for it! Great sound for the money. One of the better mini-stereo's I've listened to.

This was a gift to my niece. She absolute loves it. Its compact size fits precisely into her shelving unit. She says the sound is great, and the am/fm reception is more than adequate. She lives in a rural area with no large towns within 60 miles so, if she's happy, so am I.
Superb sound qualityJun 10, 2010
I bought a used system - it turned out to be 6 months old in nearly original condition. The sound quality is fantastic for relatively small bookshelf type speakers. I am very please with the system overall. Sony quality at an affordable price, you cannot beat it. Having said that, the Amazon warehouse did an extremely poor job packing the system for shipment. Either that or the reseller did the deed. The components were dropped into the original mfr carton with the cardboard molded base but nothing on the top of the box to secure the components in the carton or protect them during shipment. Amazingly enough the whole system arrived in excellent condition and we are enjoying it as I write this. It is close to having a concert hall orchestra in the living room!

Get what you pay forApr 28, 2010
This was about 100 dollars...and you get what you pay for. Sound quality is excellent...but, the speakers are cheaply built. Live out in the country and it does pick up stations we could not receive before. If you want a good system at a very good price..I would recommend this.
